The $149 price point will convince parents and cheap-ass gamers, but the power pack at $249 will also let people like me who are still cheap but still want the frills and luxuries to have their fun too. It appeals to both the parent and gamer demographics. The only change I would make to the Power Pack plan is ditch the Zapper and insert the Classic controller. This will make the Zapper, which isn't going to be used that frequently, let's be honest here, more a luxury and the Classic controller being included will encourage people to use the Virtual Console stuff and for games on the Wii that don't requre the Wiimote like SSBB. In fact, add the Classic controller to the $149 pack so developers will have the assurance that they can use the Classic controller whenever the Wiimote isn't right for their game and they don't want to force a crummy control scheme.
