Wii motor sports

One of the games Nintendo has been quick to refer to when showcasing the Wii is Wii-sports.
This is of course for good reason, as the game is the perfect example of what gamers can expect from the console, with each title taking full advantage of the Wii’mote’ unique control scheme. The titles that have so far been confirmed as part of the Wii Sports package are tennis, baseball and last, but not least, golf.
The more eagle eyed of you will notice I have missed a title out of the package, that title is Wii-Aeroplane. Now, as you can see there is a slight dilemma with the game, as it doesn’t really fit in with the other titles that comprise of the Wii sports package. Nintendo obviously realized this, and according to the latest issue of American magazine Nintendo Power, the title is set to be part of a new brand simply titled Wii: Motor Sports.
Wii: Motor Sports is said to include ‘easy to drive vehicles’, which would fit in with Nintendo current philosophy of making games more accessible to the non-gamer, whilst giving current gamers a compelling experience. The magazine also has good news for those Wave Race fans amongst you, as it suggests that Nintendo’s excellent jetski title may make an apperance under the Wii: Motor Sports banner. This of course would send many Nintendo fans reeling in fits of euphoria. Lets all just hope we see this new series from Nintendo surface, as currently this title is only in planning phase…

Wave Race is a big title for Nintendo consoles and has set a standard yet to be met by other developers. Wave Race is a brilliant game series and I’d love to see more of them.
