Wii are Getting a DDR Game!

DDR Wii

Okay, so I’ve never actually played a Dance Dance Revolution game using the actual dance mat, I’ve only gone about the cheap and lazy way of hitting controller buttons… but I must say that I’m definitely intrigued about the idea of having a title in the series come out for the Wii.

Yesterday, Konami announced that they are bringing Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party exclusively to the Wii sometime later this year. The whole part of this that may really give problems to those gamers out there who are sadly lacking in coordination will be the fact that you won’t just be using a dance mat… oh no, that would just be too easy! You’re also going to have to coordinate your arm movements using both the nunchuk and WiiMote! I’m currently having all these horrible images go through my mind of the injuries people are going to inflict on both themselves and others!

Apparently, you’re going to be able to get together with three other people for some multi-player action to tunes from the past four decades… provided, of course, that you’re able to find all the accessories needed to have that many people play at once! Several multi-player modes are going to be thrown in, including Friendly Synch (having to move in exact unison), Battle Mode (pretty self-explanatory) and even Free Play and WorkOut Modes - I might imagine that these would be more for the single player game.
