Rumor: MadCatz to Release WiiMote?

Apparently an employee in the electronics department at a Wal-Mart came across the above picture on the back of the product box of some MadCatz accessories that he was unloading. The poster, from the GameTrailers message boards, had the following to say:
I’m an employee of the Wal-Mart electronics department, just recently we got a shipment of Wii accessories from Mad Catz and on the back of one of the product boxes it shows off their version of the Wii remote. I took some pics with my camera phone to show you guys.
The folks over at Joystiq have taken the ball and are running with it, having put a call in to their MadCatz rep to see if there is any truth to this rumor. Given the truly horrible shortages of both the WiiMotes and nun-chuks in stores across North America, this would be a welcome addition in my household for sure!

Ugliest thing ever.
What about compatability with further accessories? The wiimotes now have small channels on the sides that look like they’d work for the new zapper demo’d at e3 last year. Definetly not compatible with the pictured wiimote. Even the steering wheels given out with some games might not work. Seems fishy.
This is defiantly FAKE. Can’t you tell cause the box is at an angle and the wiimote is perfectly straight. That image is forged and badly too!!
