Looks like Nintendo was showing something secret behind closed doors at E3. They showed certain journalists the above case containing retro controllers, but they didn’t fully explain what it means or why they are doing it.

This case could mean a few things; It could all just be a big metaphor… play all these retro titles with one box. It could mean that there will be a line of retro controllers coming out after launch to play your old games. But my personal favorite option, and something that I talked about before, is that Nintendo is planning a set of adapters for the Wiimote so you can just plug in your old controllers into the Wiimote to play the Virtual Console titles. Of course, this is just a rumor, but it makes sense if Nintendo is really pushing their Virtual Console titles. With that in mind, take this with a grain of salt. It would be cool though wouldn’t it?
