Rayman Raving Rabbids

Rayman Raving RabbidsUbisoft revealed today that they are developing a new Rayman titled “Raving Rabbids”. In Raving Rabbids, our limbless hero will have to fight off an invasion of raving mad bunnies. That’s right, I said bunnies. The bunnies will come in several different flavors, each with its own special characteristics. Rayman will have a host of new abilities in his latest game including the ability to ride different creatures such as sharks, eagles, rhinos, spiders and angelfish to aid in his mission to exterminate the bunnie invasion. Also, you will be able to customize and disguise Rayman in different costumes in order to fool the evil bunnies.

The development studio spearheading the game, Ubisoft’s Montpellier studio, is headed by Michel Ancel who is the original creator of Rayman.

It’s a real pleasure for me to be back working on an all-new Rayman game,” said Ancel. “After wrapping the development of Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie last year, the team here in Montpellier sat down to talk about having some fun with Rayman and his universe. We are running into a bit of a problem, though, because our game has been invaded by thousands of raving mad and vicious bunnies, who have apparently been preparing this assault since the very first Rayman game. We are now sending an SOS to all motivated gamers to help us get rid of them as fast as possible!

The game is slated for release on current consoles as well as next gen ones and is scheduled to be part of the Wii’s launch lineup. Of coarse, the Wii version will be enhanced to take advantage of the Wii’s motion sensing abilities. In the Wii version, players will be able to control their magical creature by rotating the controller. Other uses of the controller still haven’t been announced yet.

I played it on PS2 and Wii, but neither had the animal thing in it… the only two animals you ride in the game are a warthog and a bird-dinosaur thing.

but if you patience is low this isn’t a game for you, since its very long, but overall a good 5 star game
