The Nintendo Ds is a fantastic machine and a system which cannot have enough praised lavished upon it, but if there’s one feature that could have been implemented far better it’s the online friend’s code system.

All that infuriating kerfuffle you’ve more than likely experienced with the Ds is set to be abolished on Nintendo’s forthcoming home console Wii, which will only require one friend code per system unlike the Ds which requires one friend code per game.

Nintendo have always stated that it included the controversial friend’s code system to allow online play to be both free and simple, which is why it’s chosen its inclusion on the Wii. Allowing gamers to have just one code per system rather than per game, should allow for a more enjoyable online experience, rather than an occasionally frustrating one.
