Forecast Channel released [update: 1]

It’s arrived a day early! Early this morning in the Americas, and late last night in the UK Nintendo silently activated the forecast channel for download. To get it jump into your Wii’s System Menu and perform a System Update. I poked around with this channel this morning and was fairly impressed. The channel behaves like a Google Earth Mini, but is totally responsive.
I was hoping for some sort of Mii integration in the channel, but that is not to be. You can’t tell me that seeing a Mii give you the breakdown of the local weather wouldn’t of been way cool? Oh well, Maybe this will come in version 2
