E3: Wii Zapper announced

At the Pre-E3 conference Reggie Fils-Aime has announced a new Nintendo accessory for the Wii, the Wii Zapper. This optional wiimote/Nunchuck shell will allow games new and old to get the best out of the upcoming light-gun based games: Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles and Ghost Squad.

The Zapper will retail for a MSRP of $19.99 and will come with a game disk containing some Zapper games.

Personally I can’t wait to get this add-on, as I am a huge light gun fan. Hopefully it won’t be forgotten by the third-party developers out there like the bulk of the add-ons are.
