E3: Mario Kart Wii announced w/Wii Wheel attachment

During the pre-E3 conference just minutes ago, Reggie has officially announced the game that we all knew was coming. Mario Kart Wii (tentative name) will be hitting the stores in the first quarter of 2008! No real retails were given in regards to changes in gameplay, but Reggie made mention that it would be online from day one. Reggie also hinted that the number of players that can race together has been increased, but didn’t give us a solid number.
The Wii Wheel attachment (in the last thumbnail below) was also announced as a pack in with Mario Kart! More details will be coming as Nintendo makes them available.
